The Little Bridge Club met Fri
day night in the home of Mrs.
Marvin Thomas, with three pro
gressions.
Memlbers present were Mrs. J.
R. Franck, who won low score, Mrs.
Leslie Parker, Mrs. Hazel Tnmage,
Mrs. Wilson Harriett, Mrs. Fred
Foscue, Mrs. Rogers Pollock, and
a guest, Mrs. Bill Halvosa, who
received visitor’s prize. /
During play, Mrs. Thomas serv
ed pink lemonade and snacks and
at the end of progressions, she
served lemon pie.

Back from Five-Week
Tour of West Coast
Mr. and Mrs. M. E. Hines, ar
rived home Friday night after a
five-week trip to the west coast.
Some of the high spots of their
;visit were Chattanooga, Tenn. and
the Stone Mountains, New Orleans,
Natchez, the Grand Canyon, Las
Vegas, and Los- Angeles.
' At Los Angeles, they stopped
with Mrs. Hines’ cousin, Mrs. F.
C. Cain, and Mr. Cain.
From there, they went up the
coast to Washington, where they
attended the World Fair at Se
attle.
Then they visited Yellowstone
^National Park in N Wyoming, and
went to Mitchell, South Dakota to
see the famous Corn Palace, where
every year the townpeople make
huge pictures from different color
ed com and hive festivities.
Their last stop before home was
to visit Mr. Hines’ Sister, Mrs. Le
roy Link, and Mr. Link at Dan
ville, Va.
Mrs. Hines said they thoroughly
enjoyed their trip, but were glad
to get home.
