Mrs. Guy Jones is Hostess to Circle The April meeting of Jhe Meth odists Fellowship Grtle was held Monday evening at the home of - Mrs. Guy Jones. Using the topic, “Lord, Teach Us Tfe . Pray,” Miss Jackie Jones in troduced and presented the pro gram. She read a poem on prayer, led the group in prayer and played a recording of the Lord’s Prayer Assisting in presenting the pro gram which dealt with the five senses in connection with prayer, were. Mesdames Albert Hardison, Elsey Jones, Guy Jones and Roger Mallard. The concluding prayer was offered by Mrs. Leonard Thomp son. ' Business included the naming of Mrs. Roger Mallard, Mrs. Leroy Meadows and Miss Jackie Jones as a committee to bring back to the May meeting a list of officers for election to 'Serve during the com ing church year. After the benediction, refresh ments were, served. PERSONALS •? Mrs. C. C. Cleve Provost and son, Cleve Jr., spent the weekend in Portsmouth, Va. with the Joe Morgans. * * * Mr. and Mrs. Tony Santamasso and daughter, -Jonette, have re turned home from Connecticut! where they spent several days vis iting his mother who is seriously ill. Here from Newport for a Sunday visit with Mr. and Mrs. Colon Conway during the weekend. * * * Mrs. Harvey Yates of Pollocks ville was a recent visitor of her sisters, Mrs. Vera Costello and Mrs. Mrs. Cornell Waters. N. Mattocks spent the Easter holidays in Snow Hill with her daughter, Mrs. George Mew born. Sunday they visited the Aza ela Gardens at Wilmington and came by Rose Hill to have dinner with her son, Randolph. Saturday Mrs. Mewbom and boys visited Mrs. Mattocks here. * * w Roland Pridgen has been dis missed from the hospital following surgery and is recovering favorably at his home here. • • * George H. Jenkins died at the Onslow Memorial hospital in Jack sonville Monday morning following a long period of declining health and few weeks serious illness. Mr. Jenkins, 84, is survived by his wid ow, Thelma Woodard Jenkins, his daughter, Sylvia, of the home, three sisters, Mrs. B. L. Mattocks, Mrs. R. F. Weeks and Mrs. C. W. Ger ock, all of Maysville. Free Will Baptist Leaguers Convention In Wilson May 3-4 North Carolina Free Will Bap tist Leagurers will hold their an nual state convention May 3, 4, at the First Free Will Baptist Church in Wilson. The Convention will be gin Friday, 7:30 p. m. The guest for the Friday night session will be Reverend Wilbert Everton, pastor of Johnston Union Free Will Baptist Church in Smith field.
