By TERESA CREAGH Hi! I can’t tell;you how happy I am to 'be writing a column for teenagers. Now that s u m m e r1 s here we’re really going places and doing things. We're always making news, and that’s exactly what this column is — teen news. To begin with, I’m afraid we have some bad news for many. Nancy Newsome, who has been living in Pollocksville for the past year, Is leaving this week for Okinawa where her father, Col. J. Wl New some, will be $tatk)ned. In the short time that Nancy have been here she has made a lot of history! We’ll never forget her crazy antics and her wonderful' personality. Jones Central won’t be the same •without Nancy. We’re really going to miss her. Robin O’Bryan and Billy Moore attended pre-registration at UNC for a few days during June. We hear Mr. Porter gave them a “grand tour” of the kitchen in one of the dining halls. We hope they had a good time, anyway. John Hughes is visiting his sis ter and brother-in-law in Ply mouth this week. Wonder what he’ll find to do up there ? Wonder ..... If Charlotte Gardner is enjoying her vacation in Tennessee? If Linda Jenkinns would be in-! terested in any of Donna Parker’s -.activities? If Betty Becton enjoyed her visit ( to Bogue Sound? ■When Mary Dixon is going to decide. - Bobby pr Alien? , g&g If John Hugheiftjand Mary Marr garet Wttutfield enjoyed the dedi cation of the PollSgcsviUe Post Of .■ LflfST'V' i See Sunday afteffltoon. W What^ AfmettelXowery is doing expressing their opinion on the law banning Communist speakers in our state-supported colleges and uni versities. We hope that all teens will support this law. We also have a serious duty to perform in speak ing out for our nation whenever possible. We must show that com munism can not triumph over de mocracy. Well, that’s all for now. See you again, soon.
