By Mm. J. H. H.ddock, Jr. Qover 4-H Club Has Regular Meeting The Clover 4-H Club held iti regular meeting recently in Chin quapin Chapel. Donald Phillips, presided over the meeting. Devo tions were led by Sharon Haskins. Pledges were led by Robert Allen Ives and Harold Smith. Danny Koonce, was welcomed as a new member. Janice Lowery was elected to the committee to make plans to recog nize adult leaders. Demonstrations were given by Anne Heath, on “What to do wheni Bitten by a Dog”, Donald Phillips, on "Parliamentary Procedure”. Next meeting will be a Halloween - party November 2, at the ag build ing. The following were elected to the committee to plan the Halloween party: Annette Lowery, Robert Al len Ives and Sharon' Haskins. | Mrs, J. H. Haddock Jr. Hostess to Her Club Mrs. J. H. Haddock Jr entertained members of the Trentwood Park Canasta Club at her home Friday night. Attending were Mesdame Nimrod Carroll, Wl F. Hill, J. R. Blue, Lawrence Pollock, Linwood Pollock and Alma Vassey. An invited guest was Mrs. Carl Flowers Jr. Before play the hostess served in dividual pecan pies. During jilay re freshments of nuts, mints, and Cokes were served. Mrs. Linwood Pollock won the prize for high sfore, and Mrs. Carl Flowers Jr received the consolation prize. Mrs. J. R. Franck is Hostess forUridge Mrs. J. R. Franck entertained the Little Bridge Club at her home Fri day night. Members attending were Mes dames: Marvin Thomas, Leslie Par ker, Rogers Pollock, Harold Hargett Jr., Fred Foscue and W. D. Parker. Invited guests were Mesdames: Carl I pock, and Ernest Barnes. During play the hostess served fruit punch, nuts, and crackers. Af ter three progressions, refreshments of chocolate pie, whipped cream, and coffee were served. Mrs. I pock received the prize for hijgh score, and Mrs. Pollock re ceived the consolation prize. Mrs. Roy Mallard is Home Club Hostess The Mallardtown Home Demon stration Club held its regular meet ing Monday with Mrs. Roy Mallard. Mrs.'' Sylvanus Mallard presided. Devotions were given by Mrs. S. D. Mallard. Mrs. Ray Harrison led the group in singing. Mrs. Clyde Banks gave the prayer. A demonstration on “Clothing" was given by Miss Anne Reece, as sistant home economics agent. Re ports were given by Mrs. Ray Har rison, on “Clothing”, and Mrs. Pearl Harrison, on “Safety”. Mrs. Nannie Scott froth the Oak Grove Club was a visitor.
