Methodist Have Prot Woman in “Woman I question-and Mi tjuv^nvu »/r~ r*”9 —-* was held at both the Fellowship Circle and the Lillian Foscue Cir cle when they met last week. Meeting Monday evening in the home of Mrs. Odis Jones; Mrs. R. N. Knight and Mrs. Roger fMallard presented, the program at the Fellowship Circle with Mrs. Mallard giving the devotional. Business included Ipfans for a Dime-A-Dip Supper with proceeds to be applied to the building fund. ' The ladies also planned to make a Penny-An-Inch apron, with pro ceeds to be added to their treas ury. Following the benediction, Mrs. Mallard and Mrs. Jones served oatmeal cake and coffee. Memorial Baptists Honor Their Pastor A social hour was held at Mem orial Baptist church Wednesday evening, sponsored by the B.T.U. About 40 persons were on hand to enjoy playing games which were led by Mrs. Pauline Davis and Mrs. Elsie Philyaw. Later they enjoyed refreshments of cake, sandwiches and punch. On the occasion of the birthday of the pastor, Rev. Avery Ltuns dens, the group gathered around the refreshment table and sang Happy Birthday to him. They were served the birthday cake which had been prepared for Have Social and him. :_a Maysville 7th Grade Has Skating Party Mrs. Jimmy Wright and her seventh grade made'*' trip to Jack l: sonville where t fifty visited the skating rink Friiday evening. She was once a school beauty queen. LILLIAN FOSCUE CIRCLE Mrs. A. H. McDaniel was host ess to the Lillian Foscue Circle which met Tuesday afternoon. She also gave the devotional. with scriptures from Romans. Mrs. R. N. Knight and Mrs. C. C. Dameron presented the program, and one hymn was sung. Mrs. I. F. House read a hymn as a meditation thought. The ladies discussed having a bakeless bake sale and decided. to conduct one soon. Dee'ds were re ported and Mrs. Knight, gave the ^closing prayer.
