No matter what that statement may mean to different individuals, it is a serious one. To some, school is an exciting place,' a place to have a good time. To others, it is a place to learn simply for the sake of increased knowledge. /To still others, it is just a place to go because there is nothing else better to do. What then is the real purpose of school? I believe that it is to grow; to develop young people aurally, mentally, physically, and spiritually, so-that we may be better equipped to face tomorrow’s world. , In this capacity, school is of vital importance, because not only is il a place to learn but also a place tp have fun and to share exciting experiences. This school year should be an ex cellent one, but even with our won derful faculty, administration, and facilities, much of the effectiveness of Jones Central depends on us, the students. Therefore it is imperative that we give our full support to everj facet and program of our school, never forgetting that Jones Cen tral is a school of which we can be very proud. Robin O’Bryan has returned from Oklahoma where he has spent a good portion of the summer. Yes, he has hung up his boots and sad dles and has given up “ridin’ the range” for awhile. He returned home looking like a real cowboy. NOTICE: Patricia Brock is ar riving back in town this weekend. That is all that I’m going to say; you cih take it from there. ik ijf Wonder . . . Why Sue Booth wanted to go to Jacksonville last Sunday? What happened to Robin O’Bry an’s new Corvette ? ? If anything will be left of At lantic Beach after this weekend ?. Who was looking for Brenda Hill last Saturday night. If Nancy ’OBryan is about to get in some more trouble?
