The new private school for grades one through eight will open on September 7th in temporary classrooms at the First Pentecostal Holiness Church in Northwest Kinston. Seven weeks of rain this summer made use of temporary quarters necessary. There are still openings for enrollment of pupils in all of the school’s eight grades, Headmaster Ray Wooten said Wednesday, but some of the classes are nearly filled. Full details about any class can be obtained by contacting Wooten in the Academy’s office at 109 East Caswell Street or by calling him at Jackson 7-4250 any weekday. Contractor Fred Gardner says, with a continued break from the weather, class rooms will be completed for use by mid-October on the 55-acre site donated to'the school by Mr. and Mrs. John F. Mewborne.
