id Hughes, age 71 years, who
passed away at his home in
Buladean, May 27. after a
long illness, were held at the
St. Pauls Baptist church of
Buladean Monday afternoon
at 2 o’clock. Rev. Sam Odom,
assisted by Rev. Farrell
Sparks officiated. Interment
was in the Hughes cemetery.
Mr. Hughes was born and
reared at Buladean and had
always lived there, where he
farmed. He was well known
throughout the county and
loved and respected by all
that knew him. He had been
a member of St. Pauls Bap
tist church for many years.

Madeline and Eugene; also
her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Dave Hill of Buladean; three
sisters; Mrs. Julia Burleson,
Mrs'. Betty Garland, and Mrs.
Rosa Street all of Buladean;
six brothers- Frank, Jessie,
John, Dave and Willie all of
Buladean; Fred Hill of the
U. S. Army. '

in charge of arrangements.

GILBERT WILLIS
Gilbert Willis, 83, who died
at Oxford, Pa., on Sunday,
May 28th, after a short ill
ness^ was brought here May
31 for burial beside his wife
in the Barnett Cemetery who
died about 20 years ago.
Willis moved to Pennsyl
vania 18 years ago and has
only one daughter living here.
