HAPPY NEW YEAR
Amid the Jollity oi the holiday season, it is good to look
back over the old year and take stock—measure our prog*
ress. and our contributions to the welfare of mankind. It
is good to make plans for a better New Year—more happi
ness and greater prosperity for our community, state and
nation.
As we review the past we can be grateful that the
American people, despite setbacks, are realizing that to
hold steadfastly to those principles by which the nation has
lived and prospered, is vital to their future welfare and
happiness. And we can look ahead with confidence, as
we again pledge our allegiance to those principles.
The Norfolk and Western Railway and the Norfolk and
Western Family wish for you a good old-fashioned Merry
Christmas and a full measure of happiness, health and
prosperity in the New Year.
Supporting this leading cast were
numerous choruses totaling 121.
