Lawton had as her guests Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Tom Neely of Spartanburg, South Carolina. The Rev. J. N. Binford closed a series of revival services at the Ridgecrest Baptist church Sunday night. There were eight additions to the membership. Mrs. John Balentine celebrated her eightieth birthday last Friday. Dr. and Mrs. J. E. Reed and litle daughter, Gastonia, and Mr. and Mrs. W. Dean Willis, Black Mountain, were guests of the Rev. and Mrs. Tom E. Walters Sun day. Mrs. N. L. Perkins was called to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Satur day, to visit her daughter, Mrs. Tom Cole, who is ill. Mrs. Ernest Davis has as her guests for the summer her sister, Mrs. Rountree, and little daughter Sandra Sue from California. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Turner and son Bobby have moved into their new home. Recently they were elected superintendents of the junior department of the Ridge crest Sunday School Mr. and Mrs. H. W. Hemming are rejoicing in the arrival of a daughter at Mission Hospital, Asheville. T. B. Reid has opened a new gift shop at his home on Royal Gorge. He comes to Ridgecrest from De- Land, Florida. Mr. and Mrs. James P. Morgan and daughter Susan spent Thurs day night with Mr. and Mrs. Perry Morgan. They were on an extended journey to Lebanon, Tennessee, Little Rock, Arkansas, Okmulgee, Durat, and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, and Memphis, Tennessee, where they will attend the Southern Baptist convention before returning home. Mr. and Mrs. Perry Morgan had as their guests over the week end Mr. and Mrs. Tom Speight, Mrs. Will Morgan, and her son Whit field Morgan, Angier. Mrs. C. Brittain is in Louisville, Kentucky, attending the grad uation of her son the Rev. Nat. H. Turner and family, Mr. and Mrs. Caldwell Denny and family, and Miss Kathleen Denny from Ridgecrest; Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Saunders, Mrs. Ina Bryson, and Garland Bryson, Jr., from Black Mountain. Miss Alice Turner has joined the office staff of the Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly.
