The Business Women’s Circle of the Presbyterian church met Mon dav evening at 7:30 p. m. at the home of Mrs. W. A. Porter, who was assisted by Mrs. Robert David son. Mrs. Arthur Ray Cannon, chairman, opened the meeting with the devotional. After various committees were appointed, it was voted to clothe a boy at the Moun tain Orphanage. The Bible lesson was taught by Miss Betty Estes. Refreshments were served to: Mrs. Henry Penland, Mrs. W. W. Corn, Mrs. Marion Buckner, Mrs. Wend all Patton, Mrs. A. B. Whitt, Mrs. George Young, Mrs. James Parks, Mrs. Earl McCall, Mrs. W. H. McMurray Jr., Mrs. Lovie Deweese, Mr-. In my travels through Western North “a/°':na I have seen several signs ca..;ng attention to certain moun tains and 1 feel sure that visitors driving through will look for the mountain which is so announced, ne 2400 feet altitude would not impress them either when they ,'ave already seen those of five and six thousand feet.
