The state law requires that all dogs be vaccinated each year be tween April 1 and June 30. While inoculation will not prevent a dog already infected from developing the disease, it will protect a non infected dog. Vaccination is the only form of prevention now known, and with vaccination and compliance w'ith the quarantine now in effect in Black Mountain Township, control of the spread of this deadly disease is possible. Persons not able to attend the April 18 clinic should take their dogs to a veterinarian for vaccin ation. Mr. and Mrs. Furniss plan to build a home on their lot some time in the future. Mrs. Pearl Marlow, who has been ill with the flu, is improv ing. Mrs. Marlow has received word that her husband, Claude Marlow of the U. S. army, has landed in Korea. Mr. and Mrs. Burgin Dimsdale of Asheville visited Burgin’s mother and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hudgins last Sunday afternoon. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Ledbetter, Mrs. Elliott, Ruby Melon, and Yewitt Elliott of Stone Moun tain attended the song service at Broad River church last Sunday afternoon. The singing will be at Stone Mountain church next Sun day, April 15 at 2:30. Everyone is invited.
