Anderson of Bartow, Fla., were married Sunday, June 17, in the Ridgecrest Baptist church. Dr. High C Moore performed the single ring ceremony, im mediately after the morning wor ship service. The bride was attended by Mrs. Will S. MeCraw, head of the ex tension department of the Sunday School Board, Nashville, Teren. The best man was Mr. Perry Morg an, manager of Camp Ridgecrest For Boys. Mrs. N. L. Perkins, pianist, furn ished the nuptial music. The church was decorated with an ar rangement of mountain rhodo dendron and other flowers by Mrs. R. L. May of Ridgecrest. Dressed in a navy gabardine coat suit, the bride wore an im ported handmade Swiss blouse. Mr. Anderson is superintendent of the extension department of the First Baptist church, Bartow, Fla. They met here at Ridgecrest last summer during the Sunday School conference. After leaving Ridgecrest Baptist Assembly, Mr. and Mrs. Anderson travel to Englewood. N. J., New York, Niagara Falls, and other places of interest in several states and Canada. They will make their home in Plant City. Saturday evening, June Ifi, W. M. Pate was honored with a birth day party at the Monte Vista hotel in Black Mountain. The table was decorated with arrangements of sweet peas and lark spur inter spersed with white candles. After a delicious dinner Mr. Pate was presented with a tray of gifts “embellished with poetry of the homemade type" by the donors. Stepp Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. W. D. Stepp, and Mr. and Mrs. Carl Moore, Black Mountain, and Mr. and Mrs. Johnny Stiles and Johnny, Jr., Spruce Pine. Mrs. B. T. Fleetwood recently of Thomasville with her two little boys, Stewart and Stephen, are at the Young House and gift shop on the Black Mountain highway. Mr. Fleetwood is in the armed sendees. Mr. and Mrs. W. I. Willis visit ed their daughter and her husband, Dr. T. H. Burnett in Greenville, S. C., Sunday. Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Inin Willis are glad to learn that they both graduated with honors from Lenoir Rhyne college recently and are now engaged by the city of Hickory as directors of community center, playground and recrea tional activities in the city during the summer. In September they wil go to Collettsville where they will teach in the high school there. Mr. Willis will teach physical ed ucation and coach football and basketball. The Rev. and Mrs. Richard Gil bert of Princeton, N. J., are the guests of their mother, Mrs. Frank Wardlaw. The Rev. Gilbert, a re cent graduate of Princeton Sem inary, was ordained June 12 in the Fifth Ave. Presbyterian church. New York City. He has accepted a call to the Salem church near Johnson City, Tetin. He will also teach Bible in Washington col lege. Mrs. Gilbert (Margaret Wardlaw) has been a member of the music faculty of Miss Fine’s School in Princeton, N. J., for the past two years. J. P.
