Prayer Meetings Scheduled For Friday, April 4 The Friday night home prayer meetings in preparation for the revival at the Presbyterian church April 16 through 24 were well attended last week. First Baptist WMU Has General Meeting The general meeting of the W.M.U. of the First Baptist church was held Tuesday night, March 25, at the church in the form of a dinner meeting. An Annie Armstrong program and offering for home missions followed the dinner. Those taking part were Miss Ethel Simmons, Mrs. W. H. Tipton, Mrs. W. S. Holcombe, Mrs. Doug Hamby Jr., Mrs. Clarence Wilson, Mrs. W. A. Huneycutt and Mrs. Fred Lucas. Others attending were Mrs. Marshall Mott, Mrs. C. E. Johnson, Mrs. Evelyn Jolly, Mrs. Lewis Phillips, Mrs. R. W. Cook, Mrs. Irvin Page, Mrs. Hattie Burgess, Mrs. Denny Clark, Mrs. Doug Hamby Sr., Mrs. George McAfee, Mrs. Frank Hudson, Mrs. J. H. Carland, Mrs. B. W. Rowland, Mrs. W. V. McMahan, Mrs. Frank Melton Sr., Mrs. Nilla Hall and Mrs. Cecil Nanney. CALLED TO HIGH POINT Mrs. R. H. Howerton spent last Sunday in High Point where she was called due to the death of her niece’s husband, Charles Collins. She also spent several days in Hickory with her brother, Carl Broome, before returninng home. RETURNS TO CHAPEL HILL Mrs. W. D. Smith Sr. returned to Chapel Hill Monday after a 10-day visit with her son and fam ily, the Rev. and Mrs. W. D. Smith, Alice and Pamela. RETURN HOME Mr. and Mrs. Orney Parker re turned to their home in Pensa cola, Fla., Monday after a week’s visit with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Brown and family. VISITS PARENTS Mr. and Mrs. T. V.
