A large crowd of parents and
friends were present at the gram
mar school Friday night when the
senior class presented three one
act plays. Mrs. Martha T. Perley
was director.
Between plays the audience was
entertained by Ann Sawyer, Shir

sang several special numbers.

Methodist Circle
Mrs. R. D. Rogers was hostess
to Circle No. 1 of the Methodist
church Tuesday afternoon, May
20, at her home. Mrs. C. R. Long
coy, chairman, was in charge of
the meeting. Mrs. H. W. Sanders
presented a most interesting pro
gram taken from the 23, 24 and
25 chapters of Acts.
A social hour followed with re
freshments served by the hostess.

CHEROKEE, N. C.— Tickets
went on sale here May 26 for
the third summer-long run of the
highly successful Cherokee Indian
drama, “Unto These Hills.”
The drama, recreating a for
gotten page of American history
will open June 28 for nine straight
performances and thereafter will
run nightly except Monday
through Sept. 1.
