From Page 1, Sec. 1
The Rev. Mr. Jeffers has been
well recommended by Missouri
leaders, and the two churches feel
that he and his wife will be real
assets to the community. They
have both been active in all
phases of church work and in
civic activities. He has been a
member of the Lions Club and
the Masonic Lodge in Missouri for
a number of years. They are both
members of the Eastern Star, and
Mrs. Jeffers served as secretary
of that organization. They are
both musicians, and Mr. Jeffers
has taught music in the public
schools. His oldest son is a teacher
of music in one of the good high
schools in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mr. Jeffers has been quite active
in the Ministerial Alliance in
Missouri. He has served as dis
trict president and vice president
of the Disciples of Christ Church.
At his departure, he was serving
his second year as president of
the county council of churches.
Mrs. Jeffers is originally from
Lepanto, Ark., and Mr. Jeffers
from Pineville, Mo. He received
his A.B. degree from Drury Col
lege of the Bible in Springfield,
Mo., 33 years ago. He was a builder
