Constain, and "Gown of Glory” by Agnes Turnbull. Mrs. Bessie Carr spoke to the group, asking their cooperation in having 15 donors for the blood bank on Nov. 20 at the Presbyter ian church. Miss Sarah Thompson and her committee presented each member with a small bank and a new penny to start a fund for a state project. Mrs. Gustova Brown, president, expressed the regrets of the club to Miss Luella Jenkins, who is moving to Asheville. Miss Cather ine Smith, a nurse at Moore VA hospital, was voted into the club as a new member. P-TA Group Hears Faculty Discuss Goal For Pupils The High School P-TA held its regular monthly meeting at the school library Thursday evening, Nov. 6. The Rev. Thad McDonald opened the meeting with a short talk and prayer. David H. Corkran, program chairman, introduced Eugene Byrd, a member of the faculty, who acted as moderator for the discussion which followed and whicfi consisted of an explana tion by each member of the fac ulty who explained their parti cular goal for the students. Miss Ruth Gilbert, membership chairman, reported good progress had been made in obtaining mem berships. The next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 18, at which time the Beta club will present a program. Tay lor gave a short resume of world events, beginning with World War I and leading up to present con quests. Mr. Taylor also talked on the new administration officers and urged all members of the Legion and Auxiliary to stand be hind the high ideals for world peace, therefore, keeping the isolationists from becoming power ful and destroying our chances of peace, regardless of whether we are Democrats or Republicans.
