C., and remain there for the marriage of Mrs. Turvey’s sister, Maria Carb onette on Jan. 17, before going to Illinois where they will make their home. Mr. Turvey was dis charged from the navy on Dec. 16. Since October Mr. Carbonette has been associated with Burling ton Mills in Los Angeles, Calif. Mrs. Carbonette plans to join him early in February. The Corbon etts are former residents of Black Mountain. Mr. and Mrs. George Blanken ship and son and Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Observance of Montreat Day throughout the church has been set for Sunday, May 31. As pres ident of Montreat College and Montreat school, Dr. McGregor al so listed May 24-25 as commence ment time for both schools. Between commencement exer cises and the summer conference season Montreat will be host to the Ninety-third General Assem bly of commissioners elected in each of the 16 synods of the church. The opening ^session is slated to convene at 7:30 p. m. on June 4 with Dr. W. A. Alex ander of Shreveport, La., presid ing as moderator. Groups scheduled for conferen ces in June include the Young Adult Conference, June 22-20; Presbyterian Educational Associa tion, June 23-26; Children’s Work Council, June 25-29; and Leader ship school, June 30-July 9. The first half of the July pro gram at Montreat calls for meet ings of the Men’s Council and Sup erintendent’s Council on July 9; Men’s Conference, July 10-12; Sunday School Superintendent’s Conference, July 10-12; Directois of Religious Education, July 9-14; Women’s Advisory Council, July 10-13; and Presbyterian Presi dents, July 14-15.
