When asked if these girls were born athletes and good enough not to need much coach ing, he kind of smiled and said that although the girls were all natural athletes, it was something quite different that made them excel as a team. "These girls”, he said, "all had very strong personalities and were the most determined group I have ever come up against. They are stubborn, strong willed and would never give up in de in their abilities and such self determination that to concede de feat was unrecognizable in their makeup.” These girls are going away to school next fall and say they will get together for a reunion during the Christmas holidays, but to re capture the past is difficult if not impossible and never again will they be spurred on by the thrill and excitement of the thousands of fans cheering them to victory.
