POWERFUL ENKA— From Page 1 Gill carried the Warhorses into Reynolds territory but an inter cepted pass put out the flame. For the test of -strength with Enka Saturday night Owen should be at full power. Don Wright, halfback, who has been sidelined for the past few weeks, will be back and ready to go. In Enka the Warhorses will be meeting one of the better teams of the section. The Jets have beaten Erwin and North Buncombe and pushed Hendersonville to the wire before losing, 19-13. Farmer, quarterback, heads a quartet of fast backs who can run. pass, and block with the best. They use a split T with an unbalanced line. The Jets didn't play last week but took advantage of the opportunity to scout the Warhorses. REFLECTIONS— From Page 1 a good man to talk to. especially if you want to keep strictly to your diet. The other night when he walked into Memorial stadium with his father to watch the ball game he took one look at a certain section of the stands which was filled with Owen High fans and then whisp ered to his father: “Is that Farmer Russ over there?" It was not. And besides the Farmer wears suspenders. I • For Rent FOR RENT: Well insulated 1 bed room cottage, suitable for couple and 1 small child. This slender volume, the result of a much need ed vacation on a sea island, is as refreshing as the breath of salty winds. Here, the solitude of the island and the varied shells on the beaches become her sym bols of peace, and the balance of the many-sided phases of life. She concludes that the necessity for constant growth of the spirit arises from the ever changing con ditions as one grows older, emerg ing from one period of life into another. t As wife, mother, artist, and citizen she speaks straight to the heart of every woman. Her hon est thinking, her deep sense of all I eauty, and her sincere relicri eeling stimulate the reader', „d ense of values in life.
