They were accompanied by Dr. L G. Beall and Mr. Brown’s twin brother. Frank G. Brown, of Waynesville. Bobby returned to his home in Chicago Friday morn ing via bus, much the wiser as he had the pleasure of riding in a 30-year-old Model “T” Ford on an uncle’s farm at Ronceverte. W. Va. and chauffering a Farm-All tractor and seeing how threshing is done on the farm. Mr and Mrs. Gordon Green wood. Buddy and Ricky, spent the week end at Myrtle Beach and Pawleys Island, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Tyson Jr. have as their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. Charles L. En route to their home they stopped in Tuscon. Ariz., to visit Mr. Mashbum's sister, Mrs. Dell Bell and family. Mrs. Harold Stepp and Harold Jr. have returned to Huntsville, Ala., after visiting her husband’s parents. Mr. and Mrs. Finley Stepp. Harold drove up for them and spent the week end here. Mrs. L. P. Ertel has gone to Goldsboro to resume her duties as a teacher in the Goldsboro schools. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Maydwell will move to Kannapolis where Mrs. Maydwell will be in charge i of orchestra and chorus in the Kannapolis schools. Mrs. Dorothy Wearing of Chicago, returned Sunday from a visit in Birmingham, Ala. Mrs Wearing left by plane Tuesday for her home in Chicago. Mr and Mrs. Edwin McCall had as dinner guests last. The men returned to Atlanta, leaving their families here for a week’s visit. Miss Nancy Hester will leave Thursday (today) for St. Louis, Mo., where she will assume her duties as young adult program di rector in the Y.W.C.A. Mrs. Max Flack and Phillip are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Norton, while Lt. Flack is in Norfolk for four weeks’ heli copter training. Lt. Flack is being transferred to Key West, Fla. They have been residing in Eliza beth City. He will spend this week end here with his family. Mr. and Mrs 11. L. Kennedy of Athens. C., are visiting Miss Lucy Senn on Assembly drive. Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wellford and family of Sarasota, Fla., are spending a few weeks with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Marion Well ford on North Carolina terrace. Philip Blandheim has returned to his home in Washington, D. C., after spending the summer with Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Wooten and family on Kentucky road. He also visited his grandmother, Mrs. Amy Hudson, who is now living in Bridewood. Miss Minnie Boles of Green wood, Miss., is spending a few days in the Liddell home. She is the niece of the late Miss Sallie Liddell. Deepest sympathy of the community is extended to Miss Boles and her brothers in the death of Miss Liddell. She made many friends during the years she lived in Montreat and is certainly missed by everyone. She became a part of Montreat and her home was the gathering place for all the neighbors.
