REFLECTIONS— From Page 1 —R— This story was told in Sunday school. Infuriated when a woman in the community concluded that he drank because he left his wheelbarrow parked outside a saloon several nights In a row, the carpenter changed the sub ject of conversation. He moved the wheelbarrow down and parked it on the sidewalk in front of the lady's house. —R— Did you notice how often the mnouncer mentioned the names if Shope, Wade, and Hampton in he Asheville High-Owen game ast week? Watch these boys as ihe season progresses. —R— A young bride of three months complained to her relatives about her husband's continued drinking habits. "If you knew he drank, why did you marry him?" she was asked. "I didn't know he drank un til one night he came home sober." L Jaytees Clear More Area For Picnic Ground The Black Mountain Junior Chamber of Commerce members have been eagerly at work com pleting one more of their Finer Carolina projects. Two work parties were held, at which time the area beyond the large barbeque pit was cleared oi trash and brush and 200 pounds ol sodium chloride spread. They hope to have gravel spread on the area This extension has given the picnic grounds more space for pits and tables. The two shuffle board courts and the new equipment are in use The areas were refinished with a new foundation of cement and the proper forms for playing were painted on the two surfaces. The Jaycees now lack only one more phase to complete a very extensive project which is making Black Mountain a Finer Carolina town for 1956.
