Services were conducted Satur
day, March 22, in the chapel of
Harrison Funeral home for B. C.
Chandler, 77. of Swannanoa, who
died Wednesday night in an Ashe
ville hospital. He was a native
of Madison county and had resid
ed in the Swannanoa section for
about 32 years. He was a former
employee of Beacon Manufactur
ing Co.
The Rev. John Wright officiated
•and burial was in Mountain View
Memorial park.
Pallbearers were Quinten, Wade,
Fred and Wayne Martin and Edi
son Allen and Ralph Harwood.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs.
Julia Nichols Candler, a son, B.
C. Jr., of Detroit, Mich.; two
daughters, Mrs. William H. Brown
of Swannanoa, and Mrs. Roger
