DEPARTMENT GETS SAFETY AWARD WASHINGTON — Postmaster General Arthur I.. Summerfield said today he has been advised that the Post Office department has again—for the fourth consecu tive year—been given the National Safety council’s citation award “for outstanding contributions'” to the nation’s traffic safety in 11)57. (Bill) Luns ford. fit), who died Monday, May 12, in an Asheville hospital, were held Wednesday in the Bee Tree Christian church of which he was a member, with the Rev. Francis Lunsford officiating. Burial was in the Bee Tree cemetery. Mr. Lunsford was a lifelong res ident of Buncombe county and re sided on Lakey Gap road. Survivingg are four sons, Orval and VV.
