Other varied groups which have met at Blue Ridge for extended periods include the Blue Ridge Institute of South ern Community Service Executives (since 19271. the Blue Ridge Bible conference (since 1945), the Insti tute of Southeastern Juvenile Court Judges (since 1956), and the World Affairs institute (since 1957). H. D. MEETING HELD AT "INTHEOAKS" Home Demonstration club had a most interesting meeting at In theoaks Sept. 22. There were 13 members and one visitor present. The discussion for the afternoon on modern methods of dress mak ing was most ablely presented by .Mrs. Mary Ray, County Home agent. Her assistant was also with her.. Mrs. Moore reported on the County Council held in Asheville Sept. 3. Three members of our club attended this meeting. Mrs. Gordon Greenwood was chosen to represent our club at the Civil Defense meeting in Asheville in October. At the close of the meeting the members enjoyed a tour of the house and grounds at Intheoaks. Our next meeting will be at the Community House of the Lakey Gap chapel. Look Who's Here!
