Mr. and Mrs. Grad Cates of Writesville Beach spent their hon eymoon in the Gammon’s cabin last week. Mrs. Cates was Virgin ia Branch, a former pupil of Mon treat Preparatory school. Mrs. Collins Lee was in Milledge ville, Ga., visiting her son and family, Dr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lee, president of the State college there, for Thanksgiving. Dr. and Mrs. W. Frank McElroy spent the Thanksgiving, holidays with Dr. McElroy’s son, Dr. Rich ard McElroy and family. They also visited Miss Lucile McElroy in Charlotte. Dr. and Mrs. R. L. Coppedge had as guests for Thanksgiving their son and family, Major and Mrs. R. L. Coppedge Jr., of Fort Bragg, also their son, Walter R. Coppedge, who returned from Ox ford, England, where he has been doing research work. Miss Patricia Clithero of Montevello, Ala., was also a guest for Thanksgiving. Walter and Miss Clithero have re turned to Montevallo where they both are members of the faculty of State college. Upper Broad River Mr. and Mrs. Teddy Loeloff of Baltimore, Md., spent Thanksgiv ing with Mrs. Loeloff’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. John H. White of Broad River.
