OBITUARIES Mrs. Bryant Funeral services for Mrs. Pansy Allen Bryant, 77. were held Sunday afternoon, Jan. S, in the Swannanoa First Bap tist church with the Rev. Charles Smith, pastor, offic iating. Burial was in Mountain View Memorial park. Mrs. Bryant died Friday afternoon at the home of a daughter, Mrs. James Matthews of Grovemont. Surviving in addition to the daughter are another daugh ter, Mrs. Bonnie Bastarache of Swannanoa; four step daughters, Mrs. Ada B. Gilles py and Mrs. \Y. B. Calloway of Asheville, Mrs. E. H. Ben nison of Hendersonville and Mrs. Myrtle Maddox of Fort Myers, Fla.; two stepsons, G. E. Bryant of Asheville and L. B. Bryant of Charlotte; two sisters, Mrs. Marie McMahan of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Har ry Noblitt of Swannanoa; five brothers, C. H. Allen of Aug usta, Ga., and Lee, Fred, Frank and France Allen of Swannanoa; 24 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Harrison Funeral Home was in charge. Walter Green Walter V. Green, 55, of Swannanoa, died early Wed nesday, Jan. 4, in an Ashe ville hospital after a brief ill ness. Mr. Greene was a na tive of Swain county and had resided at Swannanoa 26 years.
