The Davis, — Dalton re
union was held at the Davis
Town Church last Sunday.
A bounteous dinner was
spread. There were three
phases of the singing: part of
the program which was ex
tremely intresting. Uncle
Tom Moore, past resident of
this section, age 93 sang
several solos. A small girl,
age 5 sang “I’m a child of
the King." The Homeward
Bound Quartet of Weaver
ville was enjoyed for many
lovely numbers. This quar
tet was made up principally
of members of families,
grandchildren of my hus
band's associates during his
boyhood which was spent in
Weaverville. These songsters
were- Mr. and Mrs. John Ed
monds, Glenn Rice and Hen
ry Helmns.
Mrs. Wanda Vess Early
still remains at her mothers
under the care of Dr. Do
bias. Her tiny baby of a
month old, is doing nicely.
Mrs. Bert Murphy of Low
er Cedar Creek was a plea
sent visitor in the communi
ty Sunday.
Rev. Millard Hall of Drex
all was in the community
here at his cabin Sunday, a
ccompained by a dozen or so
folks from his church at
Drexall.
PEACOCKS AND
BUTTERFLIES
Peacock feathers and but
terflies wings,
Thorns and thistles and
bees with stings.

have thorns,
Bees make honey which no
one scorns.

A jest perhaps or someone
