MEETS WITH MRS.
MARLOWE
The Mountain View- Home
Demonstration Club met
Monday, January 7 at the
lovely new home of Mrs.
Hoy Marlowe on Garren
( leek Hoad. In the absence
of the devotional leader, Mrs.
Jamie Moore president, led
the club in the Lord’s Prayer
and the Club Collect. During
the business meeting, an
nouncement of the County
Council meeting on January
29 at the County Court
house, was made. Places of
meeting for the next four
months were also assigned.
Mrs. Mary Ray, home eco
nomics agent, led a most in
teresting discussion on “How
to select pictures for your
home.” She stressed the point
that unless the picture “says
something" to you, then it
is not for your house. She
also pointed out that one
large or one group of pict
ures is enough for the iver
age room. Pictures should be
hung at eye level and group
ed in series of similar sub
jects. The lesson was illus
trated most elegantly with
colorful prints.
Following the discussion,
Mrs. Marlowe served delecta
ble refreshments to Mrs.
Charles Fortune, Jr., Mrs.
Jamie Moore, Mrs. Horace

LEGIBLE WRITING OR
PRINTING
He sure that your 1962
Federal tax return is record
ed properly on Uncle Sam’s
books. Best way to do this
is to type or print your name
and address on your return
so it can be identified easily.
“Naturally,” J. E. Wall,
District Director of Internal
Revenue for the Greensboro
Office, said, “if we can’t
read your name and address,
we can’t mark you paid. And
we can't mail your refund
check."
