A most important part of Christmas is family worship This is a poem that expresses my feelings of Christmas: \ little child A shining star A stable rude The door ajar Ye* in that nlace So crude, forlorn The Hope of all The world was born. At this season we must re member our King because he was surely “Rorn a King." —Pat Warren WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO ME Christmas has two meanings to me. First. I think Christ mas is a time when everyone is happy and joyful. Event one is hurrying here and there to finish their Christmas shop ping. Every little boy and girl is hoping that Santa will fill their stockings high with candies and goodies. Everyone must think of giving and not receiving. There is another deeper meaning to Christmas. Christ mas is Jesus’s birthday. He died on the cross to save us from our many sins. He was God’s only begotten son. that God sent into the World not to condemn us. but through him we might be saved. Christmas is a time that we should worship and praise God for all the blessings he has bestowed upon us the past year. We should also ask God to guide and bless us in the coming year of 1984. —Billv Hamby WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO ME Christmas to me means a great many things. First I would have to say it is hard to put into words what Christ mas means, because I believe it is a feeling you get and have inside your heart. Christmas is a small child’s eyes glowing wide at the first sight of his parents in the early morning. Christmas is the warm feel ing of seeing loved ones, friends and family you haven’t seen in a long while. Christmas is holding some one’s hand and saying thank you for gifts you have received. Christmas is the warm glow of the winter fire that seems to make your heart warm. Christmas is seeing love and happiness in someone else’s eyes for gifts that you your self have given, Christmas is a tree shedding off different colored lights to make dancing figures on a wall. Christmas is a lot of wonder ful and lovely things. Last, but not at all least, the most important of all, Christmas was the day our Lord and Saviour was born. If the real meaning of Christ mas. that our Lord being born were to slip from the hearts of men, then we would not have a Christmas day. —Jerome Hill CHRISTMAS Christmas i= a happy lime of the year when carolers sing outside our windows. Christmas is a time for vacation from school and studying. In the midst of festivities and holiday fun, we must not leave Christ out of Christmas. Remember that it was Chris* who came into the world to save us from sin. Christmas time is also a time to be se rene and peaceful, to be pray erful and reverent. Christmas is a time when we think of angels, shepherds, wisemen. and the beautiful star that rest ed over the place where Jesus lay. A—Ko. Repossessed homes may be sold to anyone. In fact, if a veteran sells a home he has bought with a GI loan, he may sell it to a non-veteran. Q—I have heard VA prn grams on both radio and TV. Ts this considered fair to the taxpayer to spend government money in this way? A—Most, if not all, of the VA programs heard on radio and TV are being given free public service time by the stations. Q—A veteran’s widow lost her pension when she re married. Her second hus band was also a veteran and now he is dead.
