South America are the parents of a daughter born Thursday. December IB. She has been named Michelle Annette. Mrs. Hutson is the former Ramey Ruth Soloman, daughter of Rev and Mrs. C' W Solomon of Montreal Road. Blaek Mountain. Mr and Mrs. Hutson arc missionaries in Bolivia. They went there about eight months ago. Sherrill's visited relatives in Statesville recently. WITH THE SICK Gilbert Lytle remains very ill in the V.A. Hospital at Oteen. James Inabinctte is a patient in Memorial Mission Hospital. Mrs. Jerry Daniel is ill at her home on Cragmont Road. DEATH Sympathy is extended to the Albert Forney’s because of the death of his mother, Mrs. Minnie Nabors, who died in a Rutherforton hospital last week after a long illness. Mr. and Mrs. Waltci Roseboro of Newport News Va., is visiting here with hei mother, Mrs. Kitty Lawton. Mrs. Julia Mac Long was called home (Mississippi) Iasi week due to the death of ar uncle. Miss Bertha Greene was the guest for Christmas dinner at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Butterfield. An annual Christmas get-together was held Saturday, Dec. 20 at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Young in Hendersonville. Those attending beside Mr. and Mrs. Young were Bill Young, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Grant Sr., Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Jr. and two children of Mountain Home. XTS III .. . the f ormer Miss Debra Lee Reed Wedding Announced Marriage vows were exchanged by Miss Debra Lee Reed and William Low-ell Clements III in the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Stafford, Holly Street, Black Mountain at four o’clock in the afternoon, Sunday, Dec. 21. The Rev. Richard D. Shelor of Black Mountain Presbyterian Church conducted the service. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Lowell Clements Jr., of Lakey Gap Road. Black Mountain. The bride, given in marriage by her father wore a floor length gown of candlelight peau de soie, with a sweetheart neckline. The neckline and gown were embroidered with seed pearls and lace appliques. Her shoulder length mantilla veil of illusion, bordered in lace matching the appliques on her gown, was designed and made by her mother. Her bridal bouquet w'as a nosegay of white roses and carnations. Following the ceremony the grandparents, of the bride, Mr. and Mrs. John How'ard Rogers, gave a reception at their home and Mrs. Edward Rickets at Marion General Hospital, Dec. 24th. Those entering Marion General Hospital last week were Mrs. Charles Allison, Mrs. Wayne Chrissan and Mrs. Hattie Bur n e tj e for observation. ' MUSHROOM SAUCE Cook 1/4 cup minched onion in 3 tablespoons butter until tender but not brown. Blend in 3 tablespoons enriched flour. Stir in 1 cup turkey broth* and 1/2 cup heavy cream. Cook, stirring constantly, until thick. Add one 6-ounch can (1-1/3 cups) sliced mushrooms drained. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Heat.
