She was one of the first members and never failed to attend a single service, until the time of her illness. Her full duty was to her church and she was a true witness for Jesus. At our radio broadcast, although she had to tip-toe to reach the microphone, she always had a word of en couragement for everyone to seek a better way of living. The Good Shepherd Mission grieves the loss of (Granny) Bartlett, but her death will be heaven’s gain. ■ . a ■ ■ — STEPP AND NICHOLS REALTY CO., INC. REAL ESTATE & DEVELOPERS 411 W. Not so that lovely group of ladies who are in charge of the Senior Citizens Lunch Program. They have spiffed up Tomahawk Lake Club House until you won’t believe it’s the same place. They have painted the kitchen, tiled the cabinets and put in new shelves. The tops of the serving tables were renovated and they made shelves underneath them creating a tremendous amount of much needed storage space and work space. They have also made crispy curtains for the windows, liie ladies painted the old linoleum in the kitchen floor but they’ve mopped it so often they’ve worn the paint off. A new project is now afoot - or afloor - to put down a new floor there. One room, that we remember as a shambles and junk room, has been con verted into a most attractive office. The windows are nicely curtained, the floor is car peted, new shelves have been installed for storage and display of crafts articles. Material was purchased Monday to make draperies for the main room ol the club house. These will be made by the members of the XYZ Club. Mrs. Irene Stephenson is the coordinator of the Lunch Program. She is most ably assisted by the following committee: Mesdames Dorothy Carver, Hazel Norman, Laura Allen, Lois Newman Craige, Lois Moss, Georgia Byrd, Gertrude Polsom, Georgia Stephenson and Misters Willie Nabors, Pat Powers and Francis Foster. We of the community owe these folks a big round of thanks and applause. You have made and are making something lovely out of the club house. We salute you!
