Hea!th an adventure for area students Do you know what happens if you are four years old and don't brush your teeth? Montreat Morning School students got the answer to that question at the Health Adventure iast FHday when they visited on a fieid trip. "If you don't brush your teeth," Director Nancy Norris toid the children, displaying a giant tooth with a cavity, "Mr. Worm Germ will crawl on them." The Health Adventure presents hands-on health program for pre-schoolers through senior citizens. Exhibits include an operating room where children can dress up as doctors and nurses and handle surgical instruments, a real skeleton which rides a bicycle, and a light show depicting how the senses deliver messages to the brain. There are 11 programs in all, all dealing with nutrition, emotions, reproduction and other aspects of health. Other classes visiting the Health Adventure FHday were Mrs. Lewis' and Mrs. Emery's third graders from Black Mountain Primary School. The programs they selected were on the environment and nutrition. The Health Adventure, founded in 1966, is located in the MAHBC building near Memorial Mission Hospital in Asheville. Group and individual tours are available for 50 cents for children and $1 for adults. Kilby, sons of Mr. and Mrs. Louie Kilby of Black Moun tain, were among the May 8 graduates of Pfeiffer College in Misenheimer, N.C. Mic hael's wife, Prudence Kilby, also graduated from the col lege May 8th. Kenneth completed require ments for a bachelor of science degree. He majored in engin eering studies at Pfeiffer and is now attending Georgia Tech as the continuation of its ' 'dual degree" program with Pfeif fer. He is a 1972 graduate of Owen High School. Michael also received a bachelor of science degree. He majored in biology-pre medicine. Michael is a 1974 graduate of Owen High School. Prudence is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred G. Swain of Salisbury.
