Represent 1 The bilHn substance is as follows: 1 eounty commissieners shall at tftetr first regular meeting in January 1422, order an election to be held jn and for No. 6 township on a date to be fixed by the board to ascertain the wflof the qualified voters of said township under the . question of erect ing and owning a public hospital and issuing bonds in an amount not ex tending $100,000, and levying and col lecting a tax sufficient to pay the principal and Interest thereof. The bill provides for. a new regis tration, that the ballots will read "For .'Hospital and "Against Hospital" and tkat if majority of qualified voters i fa the township favor issuing the hos jtftal bonds, the eouttty commissioners shall seQ bonds not. exceeding $100,. W9 that the bonds will bear not ex seeding six per coot interest, that suf ficient tax must be levied to pay in terest and create a sinking fund. The name of the institution will be the Shelby Hospital. Location, con truetion. equipment and complete vontrol ! and management , shall be rested in a board of trustees compos 3d of fifteen citisens of No. 8 town. ' Another paragraph of the bill- pro vides that the hospital may establish and maintain in connection therewith and as a part of said hospital, a train ing school for nurses and that the hos pital, 'grounds, furniture, equipment and property thereof, and the physi cians,! nurses, attendants, persons sick therein and all persons approaching or coming within the limits of said hospital shall be subject to such rules and regulations s the board of trus tees may prescribe. - r-' i GROVER NEWS NOTES OF LATEJIAPPENINGS Mr. Nichols Returns from Hos pital Moving Into New Homes Personal Mention Special to The Star: Grover, Dec. 6. Hog-killing, time has arrived at last. , Several people from here were in Shelby Monday. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Herndon' and Mrs. J. L. Parker spent Monday in Charlotte shopping. Several young people from here were in Gaffney during Sunday. Among those making the trip. were: Messrs. Bryce Hambright, Dorrette Moss and Burrus Keeter. . Mr. Carlie Martin spent the week end on a visit to his parents in Spar tanburg. ' . , , y ? We are glad to have Mr. Rufus Nichols at home again. Mr. Nichols spent several weeks in the General Hospital at Spartanburg and during his stay there underwent two very serious operations. We are glad to find him in fine- spirits and doing so well. He was accompanied home by his daughter Mrs. Lox Humphries who is spending some time with him and her mother. ' j. , Mr. and Mrs. C. Mullinax and Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Ellis are in Char lotte today on a shopping trip. Mr. and Mrs. Divine have moved in to their home north of town. We are glad to learn that Mr. J. F. Dixon who has been suffering for some while with rheumatism con tinues toimprove. !!. a. r1, Roberts was called Sun day to the bedside of him nr.. J". C. Plonk of Hickory who suffered awacs: ot paralysis on Saturday. Her condition we understand Is ser ious, but she is reported somewhat improved at this writing. ' Mr. and Mrs. Marion Beam are tak ing rooms with Mr. Parker's family ims week aad Mr. Ed. Earwood and family are moving into the house which they are vacating in the west ern end, of town, Mr. Becknell who has been rooming with Mr! Parker has moved with h.is family Into the M D. Turner residence, and Mr. F. L. Go- forth and family have moved into the Logan Turner residence. This was a small beginning; the real big moving is to take place yet Mr. C.
