Fallston School Bond Election Explained i lure s^ms to 1)0 pome misundet standing in the Fallston school dii • trict, according to County Superin tendent J C. Newton. A special elec tion has been called to be held Jan uary 14th and a report has been cir culated tothe effect that this is on the question of increasing the levy 50c on the $100 which will be in addition t othe present levy of 25c on the $100. Supt. Newton says the levy will not be 75 cents as some are reporting, but that the election is to increase the levy from 25c to 50c and that 50c will be the entire levy for school pur poses. The law says that no local school tax district can vote a tax of over 50c on the $100 property valu ation. Twenty-five cents of this amount, if this election carries in January, will be for the maintenance and support of the school while the other 25 cents will be used to build the proposed new school building which has been advocated fqr a long time and is badly needed.
