After a business session held in the-local lodge room they went lo the school, auditorium for a public meeting. The principal i>(dress of the occasion was made by Mr. John (I Carpenter of Gastonia, who i.> the states attorney for the ninth judicial district. The address was* greatly enjoyed by those' pres ent. After Hie meeting the local tribe served- a ; wmptuotis supper at the lodge which was freely used and greatly enjoyed by everybody. Mr. and Mrs. J. M. This was done at the sugges tion of Miss Mary Sue Hunt who was a tudent in the school last year. Messrs. 1 C. Hamrick and W. O. Johnson aticnded the opening session of the pastors conference of the Bap j: t convention in Gastonia last night they were accompanied by Masters Ralph and Paul Johnson. Among the out of town visitors who are in Grover, for the Keeter Bridges wedding which takes place at the Baptist church tonight are Misses Edna Parker of Shelby, Bessie Hughes of Rock Hill, S C.? and Annie Mae Fuller of Raeford, and Mrs. Charles Washburn of Shelby. Miss Mary Helen Keefer spent the week end at home from Boiling Springs.
