infer of R'tfmen had a very inter
>sting meeting in (irover on Saturday
December the first. After a business
session held in the-local lodge room
they went lo the school, auditorium
for a public meeting. The principal
i>(dress of the occasion was made by
Mr. John (I Carpenter of Gastonia,
who i.> the states attorney for the
ninth judicial district. The address
was* greatly enjoyed by those' pres
ent. After Hie meeting the local tribe
served- a ; wmptuotis supper at the
lodge which was freely used and
greatly enjoyed by everybody.
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Beam, spent sev
>r:il days last week visiting relatives
in Gastonia.

The Woman's Missionary society
of the Grover Baptist church sent a
hex of nice r ukes to the mission traili
ng school in Louisville, Ky., last
week. The box which contained a doz
en or more cakes wa- sent as a treat
to the No-lli Carolina girls at the
school. This was done at the sugges
tion of Miss Mary Sue Hunt who was
a tudent in the school last year.

week end at home from Boiling

Death of Raymond Dellinger, Jr.

tim their infant son. He was buried
the following day at Mt Zion Bap
tist church, Rev. Dwight Brown con
ducting the funeral services. His stay
on earth was not long, hut long
