NATIONAL THRIFT WEEK is a movement on behalf of a more
thrifty nation, fostered by the Y. M. C. A., with the endorsement
| and co-operation of; forty-seven of the leading civic, industrial, edu
| cational aijd religious organizations of the country.
j It always begins on January 17, the birthday anniversary of Benjamin Franklin, the American apostle
of Thrift. This event extends through the following week, each day being devoted to some specific
attribute to Thrift.

OPENING DAY—THURSDAY, JANUARY 17—Is known as Thrift
Day, a reminder that it is our duty to inspire Thrift in ourselves and our
associates.
BUDGET DAY—FRIDAY, JANUARY 18—Is definitely set for the
purpose of making our Budgets for the week, the|nonth or the year.
PAY BILLS DAY—SATURDAY, JANUARY 19—Offers an opportun
ity to keep our credit in AT condition with those good enough to give us
time to pay our bills.
SHARE WITH OTHERS DAY- SUNDAY, JANUARY 20—Is the day
that recalls to mind the golden rule. v
LIFE INSURANCE DAY—TUESDAY, JANUARY 21—Is for those
who must provide^protection for the loved ones. * ,
OWN YOUR OWN HOME DAY—TUESDAY, JANUARY 22—Deliv
ers a message to every family man, calling upon him to build his own

MAKE A WILL DAY—WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 23—Demands that
every one having dependents should see to it that they are taken care of in
the event of his death.
