Mrs. Led rand and Miss Lever Entertain Evening Division. The Evening Division was most de lightfully entertained on Thursday evening at the lovely home of Mrs. R. T. LeCificd on South Washington stree! Mrs. LeGrand and Miss Carra bel Lever being joint hostesses. Beau tiful flowers and potted plants bloom ing with their sweet fragrance grac ed the rooms and Valentine suggest ions were carried mtt in the refresh ments which were most elegant and delicious. The subject of the evening war. ‘'Story Writers of the South”. Mrs. Oscar Settle was leader and the following papers were interesting ly handled by Miss Etalie Moses and Miss Workman, “Richard Johnson” and “Joel Chandler Harris.” “Augus tus Baldwin Longstreet” wn< the round table discussion. The meeting was most enjoyable and a large num ber of members were present. Hah Nob Club Beautifully Entertained. Charming in ( very detail was the lovely party given by Miss Matilda Lattimore when she entertained the Hob Nob dub and a few of the teach ers at her attractive home on Friday i fternooa at 8:39 o’clock. The Val entine idea was carried out beauti fully, the decorations of lovely flow ers and ferns expressing the season, nndi on the arrival of the guests lit tle envelopes containing Valentines appropriate to each member and in vited gufst proved to be the place cards. They were most unique and original. Four tables of bridge was played and enjoyed until five o’clock when Miss Lattimore, assisted by her mother served an elegant salad course, the valentine idea carried throughout the refreshments and steaming hot spiced punch was the most delicious beverage. The souvenirs were the dearest little old-fa3hioned corsages of candy in flower shapes with old fashioned valentines attached, each declaring an old-fashioned love senti ment from Mies Lattimore. Bridge Club Hostess. Mrs. Willis McMurry gave one of the loveliest parties of the season on Saturday afternoon at her attractive heme in South Shelby, the South Washington Bridge club being the hon erous of this beautiful hospitality.
