Two Papers Wont
Pay At KLigs Min.
Yorkville Enquirer,
i We see by the Kings Mountain
Herald in its last issue, that cer
tain “prominent people,” (quota
tions oursf have in-mind starting
another newspaper in Kings Moun
tain. The news is of interest to The
Yorkville Enquirer. Kings Moun
tain is a town perhaps large enough
to support one weeTcly newspaper.
It is not large enough to support
two. It has a good one now in the
Kings Mountain Herald, which has
been edited by G. G. Page for many
years past. The newspaper is bet
ter and brighter than the patron
age accorded it. In other words,
support has not been supremely
surprising. If some folks want
another newspaper this newspaper
would suggest they dicker with
Brother Page, before buying a new
outfit.
If they can’t come to terms, we
would hint they might drop down
t° Yorkville—The Yorkville En
quirer is for sale any time at the
figure the owners and publishers
knew, or think they know, it is
worth.
Two newspapers can’t be publish
ed in Kings Mountain at a profit.
And that's that.
To Pave Rutherford
Road To Columbus
From The Sun:
When bids for regrading and re
building route nineteen, the road
from Rutherfordton to Columbus
and Tryon, were open at Raleigh
by the State highway commission
it was found that Messrs. Geer and
Wilson, contractors of Rutherford
ton, had submitted the lowest bid
for the Rutherford county part of
the work and next to the lowest
bid for the Polk county end. If
the State highway commission, as it
ls thought possible, decides not to
USe as much sand on the Columbus
end of the route, then Messrs.
Geer and Wilson will likely receive
the contracts for the entire work
°* grading and surfacing with
sand and clay the road which will
shorten the distance between the
county seats by six miles.

FLIRTING WITH PRETTY GIRL
NO EXCUSE FOR SEPARATION
New York.—The plea of Mrs,
Helene Tateiman for a decree oi
separation was denied when Su
preme Court Justice John Ford
ruled that “a man who doesn’t like
to look at pretty women had
something abnormal about him.
Mrs. Tateiman, who married
Harry Tateiman, cotton goods
salesman in Decemer, 1923, said
that on her honeymoon trip to
Montreal her husband had ‘flirt
ed with a pretty girl on the train.”
“I don’t know that there is any
thing wrong about smiling at a
pretty girl,” the justice said. “I’m
smiling at you now and right in
the presence of your husband.”

Foster Mother
There is no more efficient producer of
human food than the cow. For each 100
pounds of digestible feed consumed, She
gives back in her milk six times as much
edible solids as the steer or sheep yields 1
in its carcass.
As the breed has improved throughout
the years, so has tne feed, and today
Miami Dairy stands among the most /
productive of 16% protein dairy feeds.
All of the ingredients necessary for the ji
cow’s body maintenance, for sturdy (
calves and heavy milk yield are found
in Miami Dairy. f
Whether you have one cow or one hun- ^
dred, Miami Dairy will produce results.
We recommend it. See us for a supply
