REV. IRA ERWIN Veteran Methodist Minister, Native Of Cleveland County, Dies At Concord. Rev. Ira Em in. 65. pastor of I Westford Methodist church at Con cord and for 41 years a member of the Western North Carolina confer ence, died at the Concord hospital early Monday of intestinal toxemia. He had been ill for several days but his condition was not considered j critical until late Sunday afternoon ! when he was taken to the hospital. ; The body was brought to the home of a sister. Mrs. J. T. Erwin at Waco, and funeral services were held there Tuesday afternoon at 1 o’clock. Mr. Erwin moved to Concord a little more than a month ago, hav ing been transferred from Davidson at the last session of the conference. He started his 42nd year in the min istry there, and despite the fact that he had been in ill health off and on since suffering with typhoid fever, was able to carry on his work until several days ago.
