After church Mr. and Mrs. Johnson and daughters. Bavne and Mae and Prof, and Mrs. Daniel Johnson went to the home of Mr. and Mrs. L. B. Nolan to be their dinner guest. The young people of the Ora mill a~e planning for a big time; Saturday night at 8 o'clock at the ball ground There will be an ice Cream and box supper. Everybody is invited to come ancl buy a box and eat plenty of fee cream. Proceeds go for the benefit of the ball players. A number of the girls hiked to Pine View Lake Friday evening. Everyone seems to be making plans lor a trip. Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Ensley and children will leave Saturday for a two week's jaunt through Georgia and Alabama. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Gladden, Mr. and Mrs. E. G, Gladden and Miss Maggie Gladden were Lake Lure visitors Sunday. Mrs. Craig Runyans and children spent Wednesday afternoon with Mrs. W. E. Gantt. Mrs. P. A. Padgett and children of Rhodhiss, are visiting friends and relatives here this week. Mr. and Mrs. M. T. Phillips and children, of Gaffney, visited rela , tives here during the week-end. The new addition to the Cloth mill is being started up and we are glad to welcome all the new comers to our community. Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Wright and children visited relatives at Kings Mountain Sunday. An increasing interest is being manifested in the revival meeting being conducted by Rev. T. B. Reports of weevil increased yester day and crop advices were not all favorable. A government estimate of 15.000,000 looks to be discounted.
