The next convention will be held at Mull's chapel the fifth Sunday In June. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Deal have moved into their new house, which S. A. Sain had erected for them. Mrs. Texle Boyles carried her lit tle daughter, Mavin, to the baby hospital. Spartanburg, S. C., for several days treatment the past week. She Is greatly improving at this writing. Mrs. F. A. Boyles has been suf fering with tonsilitls for the past while. She was carried to Dr. Boyles at Valdese last Monday for treat ment and is getting along very well. Misses Helen Sain and Pauline Lackey spent Wednesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrsr. Austin Hicks of Fallston. Ybure there with a Crosley Flourishing Class At Sunday school (Special to The Star) Among the many things of inter est in the east Shelby Textile com munity, is the men’s Bible class, under auspices of the Methodist Episcopal Sunday school in the Jef ferson grade school building. Tire class has experienced a phe nomenal growth, since its organiza tion about a year ago, until today the enrollment has reached 48. The class has just recently been christened “Willing Workers,’’ which is indeed a characteristic name for this growing class of men, as is evi denced by the interest and enthusi asm of its constituents. As an advertisement and an in ducement to get others to join the class, the members are to wfcar a royal blue button pin with the class name inscribed in white lettering. Ten per cent of the class collec tions are to be used for class ex penses and charitable purposes which will doubtless be the means of helping quite a number of unfor tunates to attend the Sunday school.
