Mrs. C. O. White of the Ora Mill
entertained thirty young folks last
Saturday evening front three to five
o'clock tin honor of her daughter,
Ottie White's tenth birthday. The
house was decorated with beautiful

Barbers Licensed

After this month If you're shaved
by a barber 1n Shelby. Cleveland
county, or North Carolina he will be
a licensed professional same as
yoiu- doctor or lawyer.
At the last legislature a state
barbers board was established ami
after June 30 all commercial bar
bers must have a state license and
must be registered by the board. In
compliance with the lavy barbers
here this week are receiving their
| examination blanks which not only
cover their ability as barbers but
also require physical examination.
To become a registered barber un
der the state board a fee of $5 is
charged while the license to barber
is $3 per year. '
