The ?Olkvllle boys put up a good fight, tut the opposition was too much lor the outcome to ever be In doubt The goal shooting of ''Cricket ' Weathers was the feature of the game. He has played great ball In all the former games of the sea son; but In :>us game he mounted to almost unbe’ievable heights. He was all over the floor and his shots were made with deadly accuracy. He left a sufficient proof of the above statement, for he piled up Just a mere total of 31 points. 13 of which j he scored r one quarter. His abil ity to find he basket Is steadily Im proving, and this promises to be by far a greater season than, he has ever experienced before. Such a brilliant performance as he put up j to this battle would be poison to any | high school oi amateur team. Al though his work was of a most ex Bellent type, he was by no means all the show. The few fans who j were out to witness the game were mad to recall the games of old, for he had as his running mate at the other forward poet his brother, Paris, Parts Tung up 23 points, a rather remarkable total for a single game. The Polkvlile boys were seldom able to break through the defense of the locals as long as the storting line-up remained in the game. They launched a rather effective attack In the last quarter, after the locals, ran in their subs; but it was of no kvatl, for the lead they had to over some was too great. Lee was the outstanding performer for the vis itors with 15 points. Methdist Minister Pounded Wednesday Rev. L. B Hayes and his good wife were “severely pounded" by members of the Central Methodtst church congregation Wednesday night. No sticks or clubs were used, but all kinds of pantry supplies were carried to the parsonage aft er prayer meeting and his larder was filled.
