I’ll just leave it to you—] what, shall I do to him? Of course, I could write a plenty i about the Shelby people— at this I distance from them, and ; probably be very safe in doing so. but, you see I’m not here for good, I want to come back home some time, I can go dor n on Market street, the Broadway of San Francisco, and stroll up and down the side walks, winding my way in and out among the thousands of struggling human ity, and when tired of that, 1 can prop myself up against the shadow of a street light, on the corner, draw on my imagination for a spell —and I can see Jack Palmer, fliting from one to another like a butter fly—I hear a loud laugh of good FREE YOUR DOG FROM FLEAS —the quickest, easiest way Use Black Flag Powder. I could continue this story to cover every single soul In Shelby, but I'm limited in space and want to say just a few words about this column -and my opinion of it. . All of us look forward to it. It has a personality, and is a magnet around which all of us revolve, and inwardly—we all hope to see our names written there.. Some times the column interests us -some time it doesn’t, and we all throw it aside at times in disgust, and feel like we could do much better, if we ever had the chance, so be patient, a chance is some what like "Dame Fortunes” knock on the door. It usually comes once in a life time— and at last to me, it is here, and what ani I going to do about?
