Va. Ttie year previous Davidson played one of her greatest games to tie the Gobblers 7 to 7 at Davidson. Incidentally, this will be the sec ond time that. Coaehes Younger and Tilson have coached teams to play against their Alma Mater. Young'" attended both Davidson and V. P. I., so his feelings will not be as de cided as those of Tilson, who spent four years on the V. P. I. campus. These two men took a Wildcat eleven to Blacksburg the first year they coached at Davidson. Meeting V. P. I. next Saturday means that the Wildcats will mee,; Virginia elevens on successive week ends. Following the Gobbler t-ussle the Presbyterians will begin a fou day period of training for the V. M i cadets, whom they engage at, T<ex, lngt.on on November 1st. The meet ings with the latter have been fre quent since the 'eginie of Coaches Monk and Tex began at Davidson. After the V. P. t game next Sat urday, some Idea of the comparative strength Of Davidson and the Uni versify of North Carolina will have been formed, for the Gobblers me1, the Tar Heels in an early season clash, They showed great form on the offensive that gave them three touchdowns over ine Carolinians, al though the Tar Heels tallied twice as many touchdowns.
