The program was open ed with a piano solo by Miss Gladys Karl. She was followed by Mrs. Guy Roberts who read a paper on “Illit eracy In North Carolina.” Mrs. Boyce Mauney read a paper, writ ten by Mrs. Alger Hamrick, on “Does North Carolina Read?” Mrs. 13. M. Jarrett sang “My Little Gypsy Sweetheart’'; she was accompanied |by Miss Claudia Calhoun. Mrs. H. E. Waldrop read a paper on “A State System of Tax-Supported County and County Group Travel ing Library Service,” and Miss Cal houn concluded the program with a piano solo.
