Wallace H. Hart sell. pastor of the First Baptist church will deliver the sermon. Everv scout and everyone interested are urged to attend. Peterson Child Dead. Donald Fred Peterson, six weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pet erson of the El Bethel section of the county, died at the home of his par ents Wednesday morning at 3 o'clock. pneumonia causing his death. Funeral services were con ducted at-the home Thursday after noon at 2 o'clock. Rev R. L. Forbes officiating. Burial will be in the church yard at El Bethel church in the county. Surviving are his father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pet erson, two brothers, Elmer and Char les Peterson and one sister, Virginia Peterson. Dye Infant Buried Tuesday. Funeral services for Samuel Hugh Dye four weeks old son of Mr. and Mrs. S. C. Dye, who died at the home of his parents In the El Beth el community near here Monday morning, were conducted at the home Tuesday afternoon. A scout troop with 20 charter members was organized for the col ored youths of the town at the col ored school building here Tuesday night. T Mull, one of our oldest members and one of the most regular In attendance, not having missed ,but very tew Sundays since the church was or ganized Is In the Baptist hospital at Winston-Salem and has under gone a serious operation. He stood the operation better than was ex pected and is getting along fine. The church hopes to soon have this good member back with them. Also Mrs. S. T. Carpenter has had flu. Mr. and Mrs. 8. A. Sain are now sick with It but are Improving. Regular preaching days In this community Saturday at 2:30 p. m and Sunday a. m. Everybody invit ed. Also the Woman’s Missionary society will meet Just after preach ing Saturday. Mr. Carroll Mull from Charlotte spent the week-end with his mother Mrs. D. M. Mull. Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Conner were to visit Mrs. Owen Seagle last Sun day. Mrs. Seagle has been quite ill for some time but Is improving. Miss Lounette Norman of Belwood and Miss Inez Propst spent last Tuesday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Boyles. Mrs. J. D. Boyles visited her brother, Mr. Max Boggs in the Shelby hospital recently. He is get ting along nicely. Miss Ilene Bingham spent last Wednesday night wit hMiss Elvte Parker. Mrs. C. Q. Boyles and little daughter. Bonny, spent last Thurs day at the home of her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Enos Blanton of Lincoln county, Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Young and Mrs. H. W.
