Wilmington, May 8—The city
council today approved a plan for
daylight saving time here and tele
graphed the county delegation in
the general assembly to Introduce
a local bill making this effective.
„ This action was taken after dele
gations with a petition bearing 1,
?00 signatures had appeared to urge
the s‘cp.
Daylight savings time here is
widely favored by railroad employ
es and others in industrial pursuits.
Business men have endorsed the
idea on the ground that it will al
low more time for recreation.
