Rutherford ion, Sept. 16.—Sidney
Ailen, who gained world wide fame
some years ago by shooting up the
court house and town of Hillsville,
Virginia, wilt be an added attrac
tion of the Rutherford county fair
here next week, beginning Tuesday
and running through the week.
While in the penitentiary, Allen
worked wonders that are next to
unbelievable to the human eye. His
wonders worked with wood made
Allen famous and his collection has
been termed the eighth wonder of
the world. He has been offered
$100,000 for his collection of wood
working art, which he refused.
